ACME Teams Up With EVC To Offer "All That I Can Be" Resource

Plus, A 50% Discount On One Of The Most Provocative Student-Produced Films Of The Year!

The Action Coalition for Media Education (ACME) and New York City's Educational Video Center (EVC) are pleased to announce the release of the All That I Can Be Study Guide, a co-production of the Action Coalition for Media Education (ACME) and the Educational Video Center (EVC). The study guide offers a media education toolkit, screening activities, and an extensive list of resources on military recruitment,

Screened at the Human Rights Watch, Tribeca, and Los Angeles film festivals and winner of the Media That Matters Film Festival Economic Justice Award, All That I Can Be offers insights into the lives of young people making their way in a 21st century society in which joining the military seems to be their best or only economic option. "ACME is pleased to support EVC's All That I Can Be, as it is one of the few films with the courage to make the link between young Americans' diminishing economic opportunities in a 21st century global economy and the lure of U.S. military recruiting," states ACME board president Rob Williams. "Neither a pro nor anti-war film per se, All That I Can Be instead looks at how U.S. military recruiting appears to be an attractive option for young Americans confronting the alternative prospect of a life spent working for Wal-Mart, CVS, or some other giant box store corporation or retail chain."

This collaboration comprises ACME's November "Media Education Monthly" 2005 resource.
